Please keep in mind that it is impossible to reproduce the hue and intensity of neon light. Photographs and digital images can only approximate the hue of neon in a relative way. These charts can only provide a general guide to color choice.

The Standard colors are clear glass tubes with phosphor coating. It the phosphors and the type of gas I use that determines the color.

***Purple is a more expensive standard color due to the special phosphors required, Purple is also more difficult to bend and is more fragile once it is completed. I may not be able to use purple in all instances. It is striking color, but again digital images cannot reproduce the actual color!

Classic colors achieve their color with colored glass. Some are coated with phosphors as well. I use a very expensive glass imported from Italy. These colors are significantly more expensive than the standard colors. Whenever someone requests yellow, I recomend the "Novial". All other yellows are pale in comparison. If cost is a major concern I can substitute a phosphor coated yellow. If you want a true red, the Rubys are the only real option.
